Constanza Bizraelli is a Peruvian composer, songwriter, producer, sound artist and researcher. She has released music under the alias CAO, on several labels such as Opal Tapes, Club Chai, Seagrave among others.

Her music dwells on ecstatic liminal spaces, incorporating elements of ritual,  subterranean myth and forward-thinking electronics. Combining caustic Latin-American rhythmic experimentation, transcendent textures that maneuver between tropical warmth, noise poetics and dark industrial ambiences, her sound creates immersive experiences that toy with time scales, merging ancestral reminiscence with visions of futurity. Drawing on analogue synths, digital audio techniques and vocal experiments, her sound is both militant and elusive.

Her research and practice as a sound artist focuses on the study of spacetime and presence through experimentation with spatial sound technologies, conceptual science, philosophy and cultural astronomy. Her most recent project: "Auralisms: The Relativity of Acoustic Presence" realized at the Spatial Sound Institute (Amsterdam/ Budapest) addresses the notion of presence through spatial sound, Vedic spirituality and the theory of General Relativity.

Constanza is the founder of Cyclops Journal, a publication dedicated to contemporary and experimental theory. A former resident at NTS Radio (London) from 2016-2018 and alumna of the Red Bull Music Academy, Constanza's work has been exhibited at numerous festivals and exhibitions in Europe, North and South America, including Sonar Reykjavik (Iceland), Rewire Festival (NL), Berghain (DE), Tate Modern (UK), Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (US), Mutek Montreal (CA), Museum of Contemporary Art Montreal (CA), Martin Groupius-Bau Museum (DE), Fonoteca Nacional de Ciudad de México and more.
